Ladies and Gentlemen,
The Center for American and the Center for European Studies invite you to participate in the 2nd Interdisciplinary Scientific Conference "Sport and law, psychology, economics and politics".
WHEN?
The conference will be held on Friday, November 15, 2024, between 4:30 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. online on the Microsoft Teams platform. The length of the conference depends on the number of speakers. In the event of a high number of applications, we reserve the right to extend the Conference also to Saturday, November 16, 2024.
WHAT IS THE CONFERENCE ABOUT?
The main aim of the conference is to discuss the problems and challenges of sport (both contemporary and historical). The speeches will cover the connections between law and sport, the impact of politics on sport, as well as the economic side of sport. The conference will cover, among others: pathologies in sport, such as gambling, corruption or doping, which often prevent fair sports competition. We will also discuss the psychological aspects of sport (motivation, burnout, athlete's character, psychological care for athletes, and many others). The conference will also include those who who look at sport more from a business perspective - they professionally deal with legal or economic issues in sports organizations or prepare advertising or club contracts for athletes as part of their professional work.
Proposed (example) thematic areas:
- Legal regulations in sports - analysis of legal systems regarding the management, organization and financing of sports
- The psychological impact of victories and defeats on your career
- Sports policy - the role of the government and public institutions in promoting sports and supporting players and the development of sports infrastructure
- Ethics in sports - issues related to fair play, doping, aggression and other aspects of ethics in sports
- Motivation and stress in an athlete's life
- Investments in sports and their impact on the economy
- Sports psychology in practice
- Analysis of issues of equality, accessibility and participation of people with disabilities in sport
- Sport and education - the role of sport in the educational process
- International sporting events: organization, challenges and economic impacts
- Sport as a tool of diplomacy
- Analysis of the use of sport in building international relations and intercultural dialogue
- Sustainable development in sports - the impact of sports activities on the natural environment
- Labor law and sports
- The coach's approach to the team and effectiveness
- Is e-sport a sport?
- Advertising contracts and sales of athletes' personal brands
- And many more! The thematic areas indicated above are examples only - we strongly encourage you to go beyond their scope. Speeches may be interdisciplinary in nature, combining various experiences and fields of science. We believe in the freedom of academic discussion and do not censor speeches for ideological or political reasons. Original and unique speeches will always be appreciated by the Scientific Committee.
FOR WHOM?
• We cordially invite students and PhD students, experienced researchers, as well as all other people interested in the conference topics to actively participate in the conference.
• We invite all interested parties to participate passively.
