Ladies and Gentlemen,
The Center for European Studies and the Center for American Studies cordially invite you to participate in the 3rd National Scientific Conference "Public Authority, Administration, Local Government".
WHEN?
The conference will be held on Saturday, September 20, 2025 between 9:00 and 16:00 online on the Microsoft Teams platform.

WHAT IS THE CONFERENCE ABOUT?
The main assumption of the conference is a discussion focused on three broadly understood areas: public authority, administration and local government.
The organizers of the conference wish to discuss the issues of public authority, politicians, administration and local government from the perspective of both historical and contemporary dimensions of their functioning in any selected countries of Europe and the world.
Conference speakers may use tools and methods of selected sciences (including law and administration, political science, sociology, philosophy, international relations or economics).
SUGGESTED (EXAMPLE) TOPIC AREAS
• Authorities and their limitations
• Models of authority operation based on examples of selected countries
• Electoral law
• The role of local government and democracy
• Achievements of contemporary administrative sciences
• Administration in the face of contemporary challenges of the welfare state
• Systemic problems of selected countries

The above-mentioned topic areas are only examples - we strongly encourage you to go beyond them. Presentations may also be interdisciplinary in nature, combining various fields of science.
We believe in freedom of academic discussion and do not censor presentations for ideological or political reasons. Original and unconventional presentations will always be appreciated by the Scientific Committee.
FOR WHOM?
• We cordially invite students and PhD students, experienced researchers, professional practitioners, as well as all other people interested in the conference topics to actively participate in the conference.
