DESCRIPTION:<p>Ladies and Gentlemen,</p><p>The Center for American Studies and the Cent
 er for European Studies invite you to participate in the 5th International 
 Scientific Conference entitled: "Sexuality and law, psychology and social s
 ciences."</p><p>When?<br />The conference will be held on Saturday, January
  18, 2025, between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. online on the Microsoft Teams pl
 atform.</p><p>The length of the conference depends on the number of speaker
 s. In the event of a high number of applications, we reserve the right to e
 xtend the conference to Sunday, January 19, 2025.</p><p>What is the Confere
 nce about?<br />The main goal of the conference is a discussion on the broa
 dly understood issue of sexuality through the prism of social sciences and 
 humanities (law, psychology, sociology, cultural studies, political science
 , philosophy, history, anthropology, and - which may come as a surprise to 
 some - economics).</p><p>The conference organizers are also open to present
 ations devoted to sexuality from the perspective of medicine and health sci
 ences.</p><p>Speeches may refer to both contemporary and historical issues.

 ering with human sexuality in the legal systems of selected countries (in t
 he past and today)<br />• non-heteronormativity – legal, political, psychol
 ogical and cultural aspects<br />• sexual crime<br />• issues of sexual and

  adults<br />• gender roles in the cultures of selected societies<br />• hi
 story of sexuality<br />• norms and customs regarding sexuality in the cult
 ures of selected societies (past and present)<br />• marketization of sexua
 lity<br />• sexuality in mass media and advertising<br />• sexuality in art
  (film, music, sculpture, painting)<br />• sexuality in medicine and health
  sciences</p><p>The thematic areas indicated above are examples only - we s
 trongly encourage you to go beyond their framework. Moreover, the presentat
 ions may be interdisciplinary in nature, combining various fields of scienc
 e.</p><p>We believe in freedom of academic discussion and do not censor spe
 eches for ideological or political reasons. Original and unique speeches wi
 ll always be appreciated by the Scientific Committee.</p><p>For whom?<br />
 • We cordially invite students and PhD students, experienced researchers, p
 ractitioners, as well as all other people interested in the conference topi
 cs to actively participate in the conference.<br />• Passive participation
