DESCRIPTION:<p>Ladies and Gentlemen,<br />The Center for European Studies and the Cente
 r for American Studies invite you to participate in the 3rd International C
 ongress of Law &amp; Psychology. </p><p>When?</p><p>The congress will be he
 ld on Friday, March 21, 2025, between 4:30 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. online on the
  Microsoft Teams platform.<br />The exact length of the conference depends 
 on the number of speakers. In the event of a high number of applications, w
 e reserve the right to extend the conference to Saturday, March 22, 2025.</
 p><p>What is the Conference about?</p><p>The main goal of the Congress is t
 o discuss issues at the intersection of law, psychology and related fields 
 (resocialization, criminology, criminalistics, etc.).</p><p>The Congress is
  also a platform for establishing contacts and exchanging knowledge between
  young and experienced researchers dealing with the above-mentioned fields 
 of science.</p><p>Proposed (exemplary) thematic areas?</p><p>    Psychologi
 cal aspects of the judicial process.<br />    The role of psychological and
  psychiatric expertise (expert opinions).<br />    The relationship between
  memory and the reliability of witness testimony: Implications for legal sy
 stems.<br />    Psychological effects of domestic violence and child abuse:
  legal support and interventions.<br />    Psychological aspects of interro
 gations and interviews with suspects: approaches and errors.<br />    Using
  psychology in mediation and dispute resolution processes.<br />    Psychol
 ogical effects of torture and abuse in the context of human rights.<br />  
   Using technology in forensic psychology: Ethical implications and limitat
 ions.<br />    The role of psychology in the analysis and profiling of crim
 inals: new approaches and discoveries.<br />    Psychological aspects of gu
 ilt and punishment: modern approaches to justice.<br />    Psychological ef
 fects of resettlement and migration: social integration and legal support.<
 br />    Applying neuropsychology to forensics: Understanding the perpetrat
 or's and witness's brain.</p><p>The thematic areas indicated above are exam
 ples only - we strongly encourage you to go beyond their framework. Moreove
 r, the presentations may be interdisciplinary in nature, combining various 
 fields of science.</p><p>We believe in freedom of academic discussion and d
 o not censor speeches for ideological or political reasons. Original and un
 ique speeches will always be appreciated by the Scientific Committee.</p><p
 >For whom?</p><p>    We cordially invite students and PhD students, experie
 nced researchers, industry practitioners, as well as all other people inter
 ested in the conference topics to actively participate in the conference.<b
