DESCRIPTION:<p>Ladies and Gentlemen!</p><p>The Center for European Studies and the Cent
 er for American Studies invite you to participate in the 5th National Confe
 rence entitled "LGBTQ+ People and Law, Psychology, and Social Sciences".</p
 ><p>When?<br />The conference will be held on Saturday, May 17, 2025, betwe
 en 9:00 and 16:00 online on the Microsoft Teams platform.</p><p>The length 
 of the conference depends on the number of speakers. In the event of a larg
 e number of applications, we reserve the right to extend the conference to 
 Sunday, May 18, 2025.</p><p>What is the conference about?<br />The main obj
 ective of the conference is to discuss LGBTQ+ people in Poland, Europe, and
  the world - their general situation, condition, and problems - through the
  prism of social sciences and humanities such as law, psychology, political
  science, sociology, philosophy, economics, history, and cultural studies.<
 /p><p>The aim of the conference is to present a broad perspective on the si
 tuation of LGBTQ+ people. We will discuss the history of LGBTQ+, legal regu
 lations and social attitudes that affect LGBTQ+ people, and the attitudes o
 f political groups and politicians towards the LGBTQ+ community.</p><p>We w
 ill also discuss the problems of the presence of LGBTQ+ people in culture, 
 history and art. We encourage you to submit proposals for addressing the di
 scussed problems and conceptualizing their upcoming solutions.</p><p>Propos

 LGBTQ+ people<br />• LGBTQ+ people and the adoption of children<br />• LGBT
 Q+ movement in the USA<br />• social and psychological aspects of exclusion
 <br />• LGBTQ+ and geopolitics<br />• legal aspects of the functioning of L
 GBTQ+ people in Poland, Europe and the world<br />• Polish law and gender r
 ecognition issues<br />• and many more!</p><p>The above-mentioned thematic 
 areas are only examples – we strongly encourage you to go beyond them. In a
 ddition, the presentations may be interdisciplinary in nature, combining va
 rious fields of science.</p><p>We believe in the freedom of academic discus
 sion and do not censor presentations for ideological or political reasons. 
 Original and unconventional presentations will always be appreciated by the
  Scientific Committee.</p><p>For whom?<br />• We cordially invite students 
 and PhD students, experienced researchers, practitioners, as well as all ot
 her people interested in the conference topics to actively participate in t
 he conference.<br />• Passive participation does not require any scientific
