The Center for European Studies and the Center for Amer ican Studies invite you to participate in the 3rd International Scientific Conference entitled "Cultural Property, Historical Identity, National Herit age - Interdisciplinary Approach".
WHEN?
The conference will be
held on Friday, October 24, 2025 between 4:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. online on
the Microsoft Teams platform.
The length of the conference depends on the number of speakers.
In the event of a high number of application s, we reserve the right to extend the Congress to Saturday, October 25, 202 5.
WHAT IS THE CONFERENCE ABOUT?
The conference aims to discuss
issues related to broadly understood national and historical identity and c
ultural property and heritage.
Thanks to the interdisciplinary approa ch to the discussed issues, the conference will address a number of issues from the humanities and social sciences (cultural studies, law, history, so ciology, art, philosophy, international relations, linguistics and others).
We will discuss in order to find theoretical and practical solutions that will contribute to the protection and promotion of the cultural and h istorical heritage of selected countries and societies (Poland, Europe and the rest of the world).

• Protection and promotion of t
he cultural heritage of selected societies, nations and ethnic groups (e.g.
Jews, Aborigines, Silesians, Tibetans) in the era of globalization

orical and current political events

n the protection of cultural assets – selected problems
• The role of
cultural institutions in the protection of cultural and national assets
• Historical heritage from a tourist perspective as a factor of regional
development
• Globalization and regionalization – which direction to t

• Marketization vs. nationalization of culture, or economic model
s of protecting cultural heritage. • Popular culture as an element of cultu
ral heritage
• Contemporary challenges related to the protection and p
romotion of the cultural heritage of selected societies, nations and ethnic

• Accepting one's own history in the context of international
politics
• Interdisciplinary dimension of research on cultural and his
torical heritage
The above-mentioned thematic areas are only examples - we strongly encourage you to go beyond them.
Presentations may als o be interdisciplinary in nature, combining various fields of science.

Original and unconventional presentations will always be appreciated by the Scientific Committee.
