 r for American Studies cordially invite you to participate in the 3rd Natio
 nal Scientific Conference "Public Authority, Administration, Local Governme
 nt".</p><p>WHEN?<br />The conference will be held on Saturday, September 20
 , 2025 between 9:00 and 16:00 online on the Microsoft Teams platform.</p><p
 >The exact length of the conference depends on the number of speakers. In t
 he event of a high number of applications, we reserve the right to extend t
 he conference to Sunday, September 21, 2025.</p><p>WHAT IS THE CONFERENCE A
 BOUT?</p><p>The main assumption of the conference is a discussion focused o
 n three broadly understood areas: public authority, administration and loca
 l government.</p><p>The organizers of the conference wish to discuss the is
 sues of public authority, politicians, administration and local government 
 from the perspective of both historical and contemporary dimensions of thei
 r functioning in any selected countries of Europe and the world.</p><p>Conf
 erence speakers may use tools and methods of selected sciences (including l
 aw and administration, political science, sociology, philosophy, internatio

 • Substantive administrative law and administrative proceedings and code re
 gulations<br />• Administrative act as a form of shaping social relations<b
 r />• Effectiveness and legality of functioning of public administration an
 d local government bodies<br />• Vertical and horizontal relations between 
 public authority bodies in selected countries</p><p>• History of power, adm
 inistration and local government over the centuries</p><p>The above-mention
 ed topic areas are only examples - we strongly encourage you to go beyond t
 hem. Presentations may also be interdisciplinary in nature, combining vario
 us fields of science.</p><p>We believe in freedom of academic discussion an
 d do not censor presentations for ideological or political reasons. Origina
 l and unconventional presentations will always be appreciated by the Scient
 ific Committee.</p><p>FOR WHOM?<br />• We cordially invite students and PhD
