DESCRIPTION:Ladies and Gentlemen,\nThe Center for European Studies and the Center for A
 merican Studies invite you to participate in the 2nd National Congress of M
 edia and Social Communication Sciences.\nWhen?\nThe Congress will be held o
 n Friday, May 9, 2025, between 4:30 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. online on the Micros
 oft Teams platform.\nThe length of the Congress depends on the number of sp
 eakers. In the event of a high number of applications, we reserve the right
  to extend the Congress to Saturday, May 10, 2025.\nWhat is the Congress ab
 out?\nThe main assumption of the Congress is a discussion on the broadly un
 derstood media and social communication.\nThe Congress is a platform for th
 e free exchange of experiences, views and research between young and experi
 enced scientists and professionals operating (or wanting to operate) in the
  media, journalism, PR and communication industries.\nWe will address the s
 ubject issues of the Congress from both a theoretical and practical perspec
 tive. We will take into account both contemporary and historical perspectiv
 es. Presentations may cover issues from Poland, Europe and the rest of the 
 world.\nThe Scientific Committee is also open to presentations from represe
 ntatives of other fields interested in the subject of media and social comm
 unication.\nSuggested (example) thematic areas:\n✓ Traditional media vs. di
 gital media\n✓ Media evolution\n✓ Media and public opinion\n✓ Social aspect
 s of online communication\n✓ The role of media in the political process, el
 ection campaigns and shaping political narratives\n✓ Media and culture\n✓ A

 ncourage you to go beyond them. In addition, the presentations may be inter
 disciplinary in nature, combining various fields of science. We believe in 
 freedom of academic discussion and do not censor presentations for ideologi
 cal or political reasons. Original and unconventional presentations will al
 ways be appreciated by the Scientific Committee.\nPresentations may be base
 d on your own or someone else's research (review of achievements and litera
 ture), as well as take the form of case studies. Presentations in the form 
 of a poster are also accepted.\nFor whom?\n☞ We cordially invite students a
