It is with great pleasure that I invit
e you to participate in the 39th Congress of the Polish Respiratory Society
, which will be held at a unique venue – the Feliks Nowowiejski Academy of
Music in Bydgoszcz from May 6-9, 2026.
The PTChP Congress is the most important scientific and educational event in the field of lung diseases i n Poland. It provides an excellent opportunity to exchange knowledge and ex periences, as well as to present the latest recommendations, research achie vements, development directions, and modern diagnostic and therapeutic meth ods that can significantly impact the effectiveness of lung disease treatme nt.
As usual, the Congress program will include sessions on original reports and submitted clinical cases. Additionally, we are planning numerou s educational sessions and workshops that will allow you to deepen your kno wledge and practical skills in solving challenging clinical problems in eve ryday pneumonology practice. We want to propose new formats for debates to provide more time for discussions, both with experts and with the participa tion of all participants. In the National Consultant Session, we will discu ss the further development of Polish pneumonology, education in the field o f lung diseases, and systemic solutions.
In 2026, we will celebrate t he 100th anniversary of our journal, Advances in Respiratory Medicine (ARM) , making this Congress even more special.
2026 is also an election ye ar for the Polish Respiratory Society. During the General Assembly, we will elect new authorities for the Specialist Sections and the Executive Board. President-Elect, Prof. Adam Barczyk, MD, PhD, will assume the presidency o f the PTChP for the next four years.
On behalf of myself and the enti re PTChP Executive Board, I cordially invite not only respiratory specialis ts and those specializing in this field, but also family medicine physician s, internists, and specialists from other fields interested in the diagnosi s and treatment of lung diseases, to participate in the 39th PTChP Congress . Our event is also open to nurses, laboratory diagnosticians, and physioth erapists.
