Ladies and Gentlemen,
The Center for European Studies and the Center for American Studies invite you to participate in the 3rd National Ecological Congress entitled "Climate change and environmental protection".
Purses?
The congress will be held on Saturday, February 22, 2025, between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. online on the Microsoft Teams platform.
The exact length of the congress depends on the number of speakers. In the event of a high number of applications, we reserve the right to extend the congress to Sunday, February 23, 2025.
What is the Congress about?
The main goal of the congress is to discuss climate change and environmental protection in Poland, Europe and the world.
Proposed (example) thematic areas:
• Current climate change trends and their impact on Poland and Europe
• The effects of climate change on various economic sectors - challenges and opportunities
• Renewable energy sources as a key element in the fight against climate change
• Responsible consumption and production – how to reduce our ecological footprint?
• Biodiversity in Poland - current state and actions to protect it
• Agriculture and climate change - sustainable practices to protect future generations
• The impact of urbanization on the natural environment and ways of sustainable urban development
• Ecological innovations in industry - opportunities and challenges
• Change of thinking - ecological education as the key to preserving the environment
• Politics and law regarding climate change – international and national perspective
The thematic areas indicated above are examples only - we strongly encourage you to go beyond their framework. Moreover, the presentations may be interdisciplinary in nature, combining various fields of science.
We believe in freedom of academic discussion and do not censor speeches for ideological or political reasons. Original and unique speeches will always be appreciated by the Scientific Committee.
Presentations may be based on your own or other people's research (review of achievements and literature), as well as take the form of case studies. Poster presentations are also accepted.
For whom?
• We cordially invite students and PhD students, experienced researchers, as well as all other people interested in the conference topics to actively participate in the conference.
• Passive participation does not require any scientific qualifications.
